The below graph shows the lowest pump price, including GST, for a litre of unleaded petrol and diesel across Jersey. Note - Prices are for non-account customers (who may be entitled to discounts) and do not take into account any credit card or other charges.
The Jersey Consumer Council's aim is to make prices in Jersey transparent, enabling Islanders to compare and purchase from the supplier offering the best price for your needs. Prices are updated regularly but are subject to change, so if you're out and about and happen to notice a price change, drop us an email with the price and garage name and we'll update it. Using price information submitted by you, we hope to provide real-time prices.
It is a legal requirement for all forecourts to clearly display their fuel prices at the roadside.
The published prices reflect the 'cash purchase' price rather than account holders, or those on a top-up service and do not reflect any form of loyalty or company discounts.
The published price includes 5% GST, as well as excise duty, where applicable. As of 1 January 2021, the excise duty rates are: 58.83ppl for unleaded petrol and diesel (60.71ppl for super unleaded) As an example, a breakdown of a forecourt price of unleaded petrol is: You pay £1.10 per litre GST = 5.23p Excise duty =58.83p Product price = 45.94p
